What’s one thing you’re grateful for from the pandemic?
I can’t believe we are almost 3 years into this COVID pandemic! I feel like it was just yesterday when I was doing my job cleaning the gym (when I owned a cleaning business), and the whole world shut down around me. All of the local businesses in Athens stopped serving the public, some of them closed completely, and we were all forced to remain indoors. The world shutting down even led me to stop operating my cleaning business. I feel like in hindsight, I probably should have maintained my business because everyone wanted and needed things cleaned and sterilized lol. I had no idea what this COVID thing was or how things were going to go during the pandemic.
I mean, I know no one really knew how things would go during the pandemic. My work day drastically changed to where I was getting paid to stay in the house lol. The court systems were basically shut down and the majority of the court proceedings weren’t happening. We only had “emergency” proceedings which essentially meant “if a client has the opportunity to get released from confinement [and they are considered “high risk”], then the judge would have the hearing. The hearing was done virtually and the clients in the jail were no longer transported to the courthouse. At one point we even had court proceedings streamed live on YouTube so that the public can observe without physically coming to the courthouse. People got creative, rules got lax, and outcomes got better. I almost want to say that things got easier. Things have definitely gotten better, but we still aren’t back to normal.
One of the things I am grateful for from the pandemic is the ability to do things virtually. It makes things easier, more efficient, clearer, and probably most importantly it saves us time and money! I may have stopped operating my cleaning business at the start of the pandemic, but the pandemic probably benefited technology and software companies!

Key Software’s courier management system also has software such as Xcelerator, Mobiletek, and Integrations. I think I would like Mobiletek the most! I know Key Software serves businesses and doesn’t serve individuals, but I could definitely use some kind of software that would help me communicate with my clients. The number of clients I have to keep up with and contact on a daily basis is A LOT. I have a Google Voice number I use to call and text my clients and their family members from my cellphone, but even then conversations can get unorganized. I have to navigate between different apps on my phone or different tabs on the computer just to make sure I am giving my client accurate information about court dates and things of that nature.
