“Celebrate Good Times!”
What’s the last thing, event, or person you celebrated?!
Two weekends ago I visited home and had a great time! You all already know how close I am with my family and how we love love love to get together, find a reason to celebrate someone or something, and eat good, drink good, and feel good! The other weekend was full of celebrating, love, laughter, and much-needed quality time. Every time I visit home I tell myself that I need to stop letting so much time pass by before I make the next visit. I hope that this time I am able to stick by that, but we never know the way that life is set up lol.
I flew home Friday the 10th and stayed until Tuesday the 14th. That’s a good amount of time to be home for me! Friday the 10th I got to meet my very first Godson, JoSaun, in person for the first time. He is just sooo precious and perfect! That night we toasted my Auntie’s 60th birthday and got to catch up with the cuzzos. On Saturday the 11th we celebrated my cousin Stephanie with her bridal shower where she requested a martini bar and a delicious, traditional family dinner. We had fried chicken, ham, macaroni and cheese, green beans, candied yams, and broccoli salad (OMG everything tasted so good!). She gets married next month and I’m very excited! Then Sunday the 12th we celebrated my cousin Pix with her engagement brunch. We had all of the best brunch fixins and a mimosa bar. The rest of the weekend was devoted to relaxing and spending time with my Godson and family. It was such a great weekend and now I’m going to flood this post with a bunch of pics I took during my visit home!
As I went through my photos I realized I didn’t get any pics with my brothers, sisters, or nieces and nephews! I’m also missing a few selfies with some of my other aunties. I’ll be sure to capture those moments next time I’m home. My visit home was definitely one to remember and I celebrated some good times! I love my family A LOT.
“Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” — Ephesians 5:33, NKJV.
